Find of the Week

Check out the charity shop treasure I found this week... Zara boots for a fiver! With both suede and leather, dress them up, dress them down, either way you'll be dressed well! Classy areas generally have great charity shops from high-end high-street shops to designer gear that you can pretend you bought ages ago and are just rocking a throwback! Don't leave them out when scouring those streets, give yourself a good place and a lot of time to really find those gems. Fortunately, I have a mum with a better eye than me... Thanks Mum!

(Jacket, free, hand me down, H&M: Shirt, £7.99, H&M: Jeans, £36 Topshop: Belt, vintage shop: Boots, £5, charity shop, Zara originally)

Shove on a Chiffon

(Shirt: Zara £20 in the sale! Jeans: Topshop £33
student discount! Belt: Mums, lack of shoes in the rush)
(Shirt: FCUK £32 student discount!,
Jeans: H&M £19.99 Vans: Camden, £25 second hand!)
The shirt for when time is tight, the chiffon is a perfect statement to make when a quick decision is needed in the wardrobe department. Zoe and I went out yesterday night to, what we thought was, a smart/casual meal out and that was all. During an in-depth discussion on face-wash we received a phone call saying that we had to leave in 10 minutes. Luckily, with make-up all ready applied -it is much more productive than studying - all we had to worry about was outfits... I say all, but yes, with the help of two silky, slightly-see-through chiffon shirts we managed to dress up our jeans and create the perfect look in under ten minutes and still have time to take some pictures as proof! The best part about the chiffon shirt is that even when you unexpectedly end up clubbing, with the removal of a few bobby pins and a shake up of the hair, you are still let in with vans on your feet! So, if you're ever in need of a quick-fix outfit wise and want to prepare for all eventualities and (in Zoe's case) still be able to walk at the end of the night, shoving on a chiffon is definitely your best bet!

Introduction

Hi, we are Emilie and Zoe, founders and editors of Street To Style. We are both currently in our first year studying at the University of Kent and decided student life calls for the promotion of street style; style that is accessible, affordable but can still hold its own in the fashion world.  Not afraid to stop that girl in the street and ask where her outfit is from, we will bring you style that you can take away and recreate!
